my daughter had to a pay a $100.00 start up fee ($10.00 taken out of her check a week) plus $7.00 a week after that. why? i feel this is ridiculous. the union did nothing for her. there are so many laws protecting children in the work place i just don't feel a need for a union. especially when she makes about $50.00 a week before union fees.

I work 1 full time job, and 3 part time jobs. I work from Monday to Friday from 7 to 5 as an engineer in a manufacturing plant. I after work, Mondays and Thursdays I teach Spanish to an Asian guy at another manufacturing plant. I teach French at a school Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturday mornings too. I work at a nightclub as a shirtless bartender on Friday and Saturday nights.

I barely get any sleep. I’ve only worked at this new manufacturing plant for two months where I worked 2 years, on the old plant I would get in at 7:30. No matter how much I’ve tried, I keep getting late to work at 7:15. I know I’m doing a great job. My boss hasn’t mentioned anything about me being late everyday. She keeps congratulating me for being new and getting more projects running than the people who’ve been working here for a long time.

I really try, but it’s hard to be somewhere at 7:00 with 5 hours of sleep. My boss knows of my other jobs.
If you were her, would you have a problem with me?

I'm a self-confessed lazy person in the morning... once I get going through the day I'm fine... I'm busy all the time.. I never stop... But I just can't motivate myself in the morning... I'm often late for work (not the model employee, I know!) But it turns out I could be heading for this promotion that could really help me move up in the company and would be great finacially... really chuffed for myself... however.. if this is all to go ahead I need to be making a better impression and want to get into work earlier and have more time in the morning... I'm terrible for hitting the 'snooze' button and then end up sleeping in and then get really mad at myself when I have to rush round like hell and try to get ready on time... are you a good morning person? Do you have good motivation?
- If so... do you have any good tips for me please??

Thanx

Did you get in? How have you found it? What qualifications did you have? Have you ever known anyone with adequate qualifications be rejected?

Thanks for the advice.

I have enough GCSE for the course but am 25 and have not worked in this field although it is something I have always wanted to do. I wondered if it will go against me not having worked in the care field. I know I could start that now but time is passing and I feel that my qualifications and knowledge would allow me to learn enough on the actual course.
