no - not from a period.
it is actually not much blood in it at all.
try some ibuprofen - tends to ease things a bit.

I know, I had a real heavy blood flow just a couple of months ago and it freaked me out too, but I found out from my doctor that it's not all blood, but other body liquids mixed in with the blood, sounds disgusting doesn't it, but that means that there is no way that any girl can bleed to death from her period because it's not all blood that's coming out of our bodies, so that eased my mind.

i don't think so, but you can def. become anemic (low iron) you should talk to your doctor. esp if it continues to be heavy next month, etc. you might need a procedure called a d&c. in which the doctor sedates you and scrapes the lining of the uterus...sometimes an area will thicken, due to lack of shedding, and that can cause heavy bleeding. it doesn't hurt because it's done while your asleep...it's done in out-patient, and you will have mild to moderate vaginal bleeding for a few days post surgery. at least talk to your doctor and get professional advice okay. best of luck to you.

No, but girls have died from Toxic Shock Syndrome, which has to do with tampon use. Read the insert in the box.
Don't worry too much about it. If you're a teen, that means your body is not quite "regular" because of growing. Go to the Dr if you are concerned, though.

In careers and employment? Okay then.
Not bleeding per se. But from anemia caused by too much, yes. And don't forget toxic shock, caused by the forgotten tampon.
Good luck.

No. Even though it looks like a lot of blood, it's actually only a couple of ounces, and you can lose quarts before you'd die. I know it looks freaky, but you'll be just fine.
