Through networking and friends, in my opinion. Most jobs aren't advertised. Certainly the best jobs aren't advertised, either.

I have always registered with the temp agencies because they also have permanent placement. Also many temp jobs turn into permanent. Also, check with Hot Jobs and Monster for an idea of the jobs in your area and field.

All with www. in front of them of course. But watch out for temp services masking as Employers.
Aerotek, should you see it, is actually a temp service, but a lot of their jobs go permanent after 90 days.
Newspapers are good. Word of mouth is good. And going door to door is good. I'm looking too and haven't found anything yet.

You can search for your job.... Based on the qualification , you search for the job, through classifieds... you can also find the pat time jobs..

most of the jobs out there are never publicized and advertised...determine what your strenghts and weaknesses are and go after it directly...cold calling may not be fun but if you prescreen and determine your potential interest, it could be rewarding.
