Women work in factory jobs too. My first real job was a factory job. I work in an office now, but the pay isn't much better and I have a family now. Office jobs are Mcjobs just as much as factory jobs unless you can actually make a living on just that one income and there is oppportunity for advancement.

Factory jobs need more efforts, physical labor than office jobs. Naturally women are softer than men, in general women are physically weaker than men.
Women attend office jobs in a more organized way than men, as they (women) by nature are home organizers, taking care of kids, prep of food~ and all that need to be organized.
Women are the only productive source in continuation of human generations. Therefore, they have some periods, durations they cant do or take over laborious jobs, whereas men don't have those periods or durations.
That's why by logic the employers prefer to have women in offices and men in factories.

First of all, this is a generalization that is so not true. If you think the majority of women in office jobs have a future of moving up in the company, think again. Most women who work as receptionists or secretaries do not have a future beyond that job. Once you get in that position, they don't want to hire you or promote you. I think it is unfair to say that just because a woman gets an office job that she will have a chance of moving up in the company.

You are obviously not a woman, haha. Office jobs are not "the best" by any means. Low pay, little recognition, and almost all the job titles end with "clerk". The big salaries in the office usually belong to upper management- and they are MEN. Men like to hire women to fetch their coffee, answer their phone, etc. At least if you are on the factory floor you get credit for how many widgets you produced, maybe get a chance to work 3rd shift for more money, and nobody will ever drag you off your current project and say "honey one of you girls needs to cover for the receptionist today." See, it's all in your perspective.

1st wrong assumption: best jobs in office, factories have no future.

2nd wrong assumption: women in office got the best jobs, men working in factories got no future.

Reality: Regardless of where and what kind of job positions you (as a woman) holds in today's society in any countries, chances are, you will be getting a lower salary package than that of another male collegue who works the same position and same set of job scope.

Also, depending on which industries you are looking at today, some of the higher income generating jobs are in factory areas, eg. shipping, marine, oil/water industry. A ship's captain may easily earn the same scale of salary as an fresh-grad accountant.

So it really depends on how you define "best jobs" and also how you view factory jobs.

The only reason any person gets stuck in a job, whether they are male or female, is because they don't have the personal motivation to come up with a way to switch jobs. Gender has nothing to with being stuck in a dead end job. When's the last time you say a guy waitressing at the Waffle House?

I think it is because, Women are more into academics. Women are the ones that actually study and pay attention in school. As for most men, we are into sports, auto shop, and computers.
