I kind of want to work at coldstone or claire's, but don't know the approximate pay and minimum age. I know the bookstores and department stores dont allow anyone under seventeen to work there. If there are any other good places to work at, please tell me and thanks for all your help.

You best bet is going to be a dishwasher at a restaurant or maybe a senior center. You'll have to be behind the scenes because of your age. Once you're there for awhile, then you can move up. Or else, once you're 16, you can get a job anywhere.

You can't work at those places because you're too young and most likely inexperienced.
Plus, no one wants to be served ice cream by a 14 year old...unless that person is a pedophile.
You'll have better luck if any at McDonald's. You can always wait for the summer to roll by and try to get into a summer youth job program.

farm work or working in a family business is probably all that you can do legally.
