In the long run, considering the job opportunites and possible income, is it better to have a PhD or a Masters in the Biological Science (biochemisty, genetics, microbilolgy, etc.) field if you want to work in industry and not in academia?

I've worked in customer service for far too long. At least w/ this job. I'm doing restaurant, too. Need something with better pay and less people. Tacoma area, painting or warehouse or anything w/ money. Don't care if I get dirty. Not afraid of hard physical work. Just can't take my job anymore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Job hunting online 2-3 hours a day not working either. Please help! Aloha!!

What would you do if you've been given $20,000 as an inheritence. I'm a single mom with 2 kids (9 years and 18mo) and will be getting $20,000 from an inheritence. My kids are getting some inheritance also for their college funds (about $5,000 each). I want to go on vacation but I can't decide if I should go somewhere with both my kids, or just my daughter (9 years old), or just me and my boyfriend and dont even know where'd we go. I have never been on a vacation and have never had any time away from my kids (even for just a night). What would you do with the money? Where would you go?

This would be a job with relocation benefits and a contract. If you left it, you would be out a lot of money. You would have nothing in common with co workers and a really nasty industrial envrionement is where you'd be working. You are educated , an engineer, and an MBA

I have an interview tommorrow, I'd like to know whether or not it is a bad idea to fax a follow-up letter (thank-you for your time letter) or is it best to mail it?

The reason why I thought of faxing is it's quicker, they'll remember me, because they just saw me, etc . . .

Opinions!

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider my letter. As you may know, I have been notified that my employment with XXXXX has ended on November 15, 2006. I was informed that the decision was made because of violations of policy.

In my situation I believe there were a lot of mistakes made and I accept full responsibility for my actions. However, I really enjoyed and loved my job and would never put the children in harms way.

The situation with my co-worker went far beyond that day. I should have been put in a grievance, but chose to continue to ignore the behavior from my co-worker. There was a lot held in from previous experiences with him. The day his behavior was inexcusable, I let my co-worker know in a way that the children were unaware of, and did not know there were any problems outside of the game we were playing.

In the year and a half that I have been with XXX I have never violated any policy. In fact I take pride in working with the children. While at XXXX I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience and would like to continue to have a chance to do so if you allow me. I would like to apologize again for my behavior and can assure that it would never happen again.

I would like the opportunity to discuss my situation with you. Please let me know when you are available.

I need some help reguarding my job?
I am a full time nanny. I started my job about a month ago and I dont like it. The third day I knew it wasnt going to work out. 2 problems: the commute is too far and I feel very uncomfortable when I go to work. I feel like i am about to give a huge speech to a lot of peole. I am sick to my stomach all the time when I go. Before i started working for the family I had a plane ticket to go on vacation for christmas for 2 weeks. But they really needed me the 2nd week so the mom paid $300 to change my plane ticket to come back early.
What should I do? If i quit do i have to pay her the money back??? What should i do
