In the long run, considering the job opportunites and possible income, is it better to have a PhD or a Masters in the Biological Science (biochemisty, genetics, microbilolgy, etc.) field if you want to work in industry and not in academia?

What I am intersted to know is if a PhD is worth gettting when a Masters opens many doors. Having a Masters can lead to a nice salary but having a PhD MAY or MAY NOT lead to a better salary than having a Masters.

These days , miost universities already offer bachelor-masters program. Thus, you can graduate with a masters degree right away. Getting a PhD is a little more difficult since you have to find a new and pioneering subject to focus your study on, prepare your thesis, and find some corporate sponsors who would fund your research..

I think Masters or PhD would allow you to work in either field.
