The two best vet schools in the country are Mizzou and K-State. (I looked it up when I was looking into going to vet school; I changed my mind, but not because of level of difficulty.) Mizzou is best for small animals, while K-State is best for livestock (but they do have small animal training). Just apply to the schools as a non-traditional student (K-State LOVES non-traditional students) and start classes!

KSU is cheaper. Mizzou is very expensive. Both schools have great "college scenes" if you're looking for that. Be sure to contact the financial aide departments of both schools to see how much help you can get.
