If you do not take your vacation time then that is your own problem but to be honest you should check with the State labor board just to make sure of your rights and if you have the grounds for a complaint.
If you have grounds for a complaint, let your employer know about the unpaid vacation time, it could be a simple oversight in the book keeping department. Why create an atmosphere of tension between you and your employer over what could be a mistake.
After bringing it to the employers attention and getting no result then file a formal complaint to get what you are owed.

Yes, you get paid for any unused vacation time not used but not for sick leave.

California is the sole state that required unused trip to be paid. in the different states, it relatively is as much as company coverage. upload'l archives: Utah trip would not could desire to be paid out. In Utah the sole regulation linked with trip pay is that if the corporate can provide trip, the corporate won't be able to grant it in any discriminatory way.

You need to go in your policies and procedures manual. Your company may be free willed, and if so they do not have you pay you for anything. You need to check that out, seriously.
