I recently applied for a job with a major Pharmacy/Retailer who advertised for a licensed professional Cosmetologist.
I wasted two weeks driving, being interviewed twice, and then the disppointment of finding out that they promote internally throughout the company so this means it was a waste of time for me. I find out the store is going to promote someone from the store into this department who does not have the expertise or the license to give advise to customers with issues, advise, and the correct cosmetic/haircolor/haircare needs. Why do they even bother to post these jobs?
If you want an expert in a special field then you hire one.
Do they run these ads as an equal oportunity employer because they have too? If they are going to hire within the store and promote first then why do they allow professionals like myself to bother to take the time when they know they have no intention on hiring us in the first place.Has anyone else had this happen to them?

There are a lot of people that have this big shot, 6-7 figure jobs that are like corporate execs and stuff. What do I do to do that? I'm 24 and a really smart guy so I don't see why I couldn't be that guy.

My parents had money when I was young and when I was about 15 they didnt do so good and spent most
of their money on issues that happened. My mom got breast cancer 2 years ago and the insurance didnt cover
all of the bills so then it got even more worst. My dad is now 67 and my mom is 54. My dad is old and have leg issues
that makes him not beable to work any hard jobs as most jobs now require to do so much. I have a younger brother which is 13 years old and he is in junior high.
I dropped out of high school when I was 16 and made money selling stuff online and buying wholesale. The profit was pretty good but from all
the stress I had which is paying most of the bills around $1200 a month and paying my own bills. I went to gamble
and lost alot of money. Now I am 20 years old and my business is not so good anymore. I do not have a GED diploma,
I don't even know what I'm good at.
You can call me a loser. I dont know where to start,,..Thank you for hearing me out...

I am 26 and I'm a social worker. I know that I look really young, everyone tells me it all the time and I see it when I look in the mirror. My sister is 19 and people always ask who is older. I know this may seem like a strange question, and I'm not complaining really..its just that when it come to work it handicaps me. Some of my client don't take me seriously because I look so young. Many of them say, "are you old enough to do this job?" or "you look younger then may daughter" or "Oh your a social worker? How old are you? Oh I thought you were much younger" I don't wear makeup, but I do dress professionally. What tricks can I use to make myself appear more distinguished and professional? it makes me uncomfortable to be seen as a child at work and I believe it inteferes with my work, I think many people don't take me seriously.

Basically, im 18 and trying to figure out a way to get to college, to have an education and become trained for the real work world. Problem is i have limited funds. All my life i grew up very financially independent. Now i make enough to have a decent living but i still live at home. I cant imagine how i could afford college, by working at a job that requires no skills/education. And how do people go to college and pay for their car and insurance, gas, cell phone, clothes, food, dates, ETC. I mean, i could eliminate some of these bills, but in todays society its a must to have a cell phone. How can students have a job and maintain their school work? i want an education and i want it fast. I was very close to joining the Navy, but decided its not for me. now i feel like im going no where without college, any ideas?!

I own my own house and have a very good work ethic. I've never looked to a man to take care of me, I've always been fiercely independent and anything I've wanted, I've worked hard and gone for. I just don't get my personal life, have I put myself in a position that men are not interested in me? I either get men who want to latch on because they know I'm a good worker or young guys who want sex, I guess I don't know what to do differently?? HELP

I just started my new job as a debt collector, Are there any debt collectors in here? Do you guys have any tips on how I can become a better debt collector? As for yourself personally, which debt collector can make you pay a specific bill, the "mean, bitchy one," who threathens you this and that OR the "Customer-service" type one who wants to keep your business? It's so hard to find debt collector in any job website so I cannot get any tips on how to better myself. (boohoo)
