That depends upon the job, your personal qualifications, and the area of the country. What benefits does it include, health insurance, dental, vision, vacation, and retirement submitted by company than I would say that is a heck of a good deal, but without any of those my question would be would the eventual wage help to pay for the additional health insurance etc and be enough to live on?

Yes, its a very good wage per hour for a starting wage. Most people fail to realize how much the benefits are worth and believe me they are almost more important then the wage. If $14 is a starting wage you could be making a whole lot more in a few years if you are a good worker.

If you're currently making $20 an hour then, no. If you're making $0 an hour, well, YES! The real question is, "how much do you need to live on?". Because if you need $700 a week then $14 an hour won't cut it. If you need $400 a week then $14 an hour is good and you could work a 30 hour week (before taxes)

That all depends where u live and work! I make $22 an hour and Ive had to scratch and claw my way up the ladder and finally made it to the top! In places like New York its not a really great rate but in Nebraska its awesome-everything here is cheap including rental! BENEFITS are a great thing to have though!

I say YES.
You don't say what the benefits are. The more the better. Paid vacation, 401(k), health, dental, vision, sick leave, tuition reimbursement are all added bonuses.
Add all those and it's probably more like $22 per hour.

I think $14.00 per hour is definitely a reasonable starting wage.

Depends on what type of job you're doing. Working at McDonalds - then probably not - reasonable is around $7.00 depending on what state you're in. Administrative type work - I'd say $14 is very reasonable - to start.
