I have been working for an accountant for a little over a year. Because it's been slow lately, my boss cut my hours in half. I have been getting partial unemployment, but it's not a big help. I have had to borrow money off my fiance like crazy, and I HATE that. Also, my boss has made some unusual (almost sexually harassing) comments to me. I can't STAND one of my co-workers. I am positive I can make almost as much, if not more, as an Assistant Manager, although it will be harder work. However....I will be going back to full time here in January. I also don't like this work, even though it is good experience for any career. I'll note that I DO have a job interview tomorrow...but I am just looking for open opnions on this. Should I get out now, and save my sanity and so he can find a replacement before tax season?

While I was in college, I've unfortunately never had the time nor opportunity to apply for an internship. Now that I've graduated and I do have the time to take them on, I'm wondering if it is even remotely possible to still apply for an internship despite the fact I won't be getting any credit for it since I'm not longer a student. I understand there is no pay involved, I am primarily in this for the experience, seeing as how many professional settings require those with experience.

In a nutshell, is it still possible to work an internship at this point?

I have been offered a positon as a driver for UPS. The benefits are good and so is the pay. I have also been offered a job working in my chosen field of marketing. I wanted a break for the monotony of the 9-5 but a job that would pay me well enough to attend grad school. Do you think I should stay in my chosen field and attend school or should a take a break and work a job that the pay maybe a little lower but the hours more flexible? Plus I guess I could pick up extra hours in overtime every once in a while? I applied for UPS because I wanted to get out of the office. Going back to school is sedentatry enough, know what I mean? Any thoughts?

If so, what?

Also, was it really hard for you to go back to work again? Did anyone mention your behavior or did they act like it never happened?

I have looked in stores like Staples and Office Max for this item but they are no longer available. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find these? I have an old pair of earphones at work that I like but the sponge ear protectors are very worn out and need to be replaced.

I've felt horrible for the past two days (I have my period. Always really bad). Luckily I was off yesterday, but today I have work.

I'm debating whether or not I should call in sick. I've worked there for almost two years and have called out three times (twice because I had no voice and couldn't speak. A big part of my job). That's compared to the other girls who call out at least once a month.

I'm always afraid to call out because I think things will be out of control if I'm not there and then everyone will blame it on me. I always feel like I'm responsible for keeping everything together and under control.

By the way, I do not have another day off until next week. I don't get weekends off.

All throughout high school, I have barely done anything with myself. I go to a top-20 high school and the average GPA of my whole time there is around a 3.00. I am a senior, and I am just now taking an AP Biology class. Four school days a week, I work in a dental office (and I have for two years), I take Financial Services on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00 pm and then I go to my other job where I organize the office from about 2:00 to 6:00 (and I also spend another four hours working there on Mondays). But I feel like I'm not doing enough. I'm always busy, but I feel like a really lazy student, compared to SOPHOMORES taking like 4 or 5 APs and 5 extracurriculars. Even though I've pretty much been really lazy throughout high school, can I still be successful in life with any career if I focus more in college?

I find a job that perfectly matches my qualities and professional experience. Very confident in my chances, i apply. They call me, ask a few questions relevant to the position, and invite me for an interview which consists of a translation test (from and into English), and an Excel exercise. I do very good on both, they tell me they will call later on to give me an answer.

I think that the interview went very well, they seemed to be quite happy with my salary expectations, and my profile matched the ideal candidate. They don't call, not even to say I didn't get the job.

What went wrong?
