should I quit my job. I work with a family owned business.. thats exploded into a huge company. My dad is the owner. i have been here for 4 years. and i have become valuable in knowing how to do the things i do quick. My sister in the office manager and hse is mean and hard on me a lot of the time. i am newly married and my husband will be an electrical engineer in december. So i dont haveto work anymore. I cant get anything done around my house nor be the wife i want to be .. and be involved in serving.thats my story.. but i think i wil miss it here also, but..
I love my sister.. we share lunch together. and i treat her and she treats me.. i will miss her and my dad and my brother.. but at home I am slack because of working full time and I need that time with my husband and I need the day to get things done.

well, first, you have to learn how to balance your time between home and work. If you can find a way to manage your time between the two, then you would not need to quit. How about trying to work as a part-time so at least you still have some income coming in even though your husband will be an electrical engineer. That way, you will still be able to see your family and be the wife to your husband.
Good luck

I would say, yes.. quit this job, but look for a part time job doing something that you love, and something you are passionate about. You can even look for a job that will allow you to work from home which means you can work in your pjs if you wanted! I would say that just bc your husband is starting a new career, you shouldn't let yours go. "How wrong it is for women to expect men to build the world they want, rather than build it themselves" Even if you work 5 hours a week, its something that is yours and that you can take pride in. This way, you can bring home (some) bacon and fry it up in the pan before your hubby comes home!

I do not know how spiritual you are but you may want to pray together with your husband about it. Sit and discuss the positives and negatives of the situation and make a decision that you both agree on and both can live with.
Another thing...a wise person told me once that if you hate your job you need to find a new job. Sounds to me like a change is in order regardless.
Good luck to you and your husband in making the decision that is right for you both!

I would just go part-time for now and then eventually phase yourself out of the family business.
