My boyfriend is going to school to be a nurse and want to sign up to trave. You need a two year degree to become a registered nurse, but most companies perfer a four year degree. Pay for a RNs start at about $18hr and go up to about $34 an hour. Sometimes you can get more that $34hr if you continue training or become a shift supervisor. Anything less than RN will start around $13 and top off at about $24. The payscale varies on where you live too. The company you work for would pay for your travels, however you would not be taking your family, so if that is what you want to do, do it before you have children (if you want to have children).

And NO you do not have to decide what you want to be yet! You have plenty of time. I'm 28 and have changed careers three times since I was 21. Just consintrate on your regualr coursework; english, math, biology, ect. When you get to college you may want to get a LPN certificate first to see if you like that feild (all the credits will transfer to your RN degree).

Take your time, don't decide your whole life so early.

Good luck!

i might want to consider the different solutions for you to commence acquiring your artwork adventure as an RN after acquiring your ADN. i might want to propose that you today proceed your practise for your BSN. With MAGNET popularity turning out to be drastically familiar in hospitals, you'll locate that ADN positions will be more and more problematical to receive. you'll favor a minimum of two years adventure as a clean nurse on your selected forte formerly you should initiate searching for a shuttle nurse position. as far as a nursing forte; that is an rather human being determination. you've gotten an probability to come across your thoughts even as in nursing college. i might want to propose that you save a laptop as you're performing your diverse clinicals and jot down what you experience are execs and cons of each and every section you're uncovered to contained in the medical institution. once you're out of nursing college, have a glance on the notes and upload/delete from them and study them to help you to settle on which forte you want to pursue. bear in mind that you'll continually replace your forte at any time.
