Of course it goes without saying that they want someone who can be an asset to their company/office/whatever. Just what qualities make someone an asset will vary.

Will you be working individually or as part of a team? The first will require job skills over personality or people skills. Team work? Well, you know the rest...Customer service......keeping a cool head and persuading others to see things your way and be happy to do so..

Word to the wise...bone up on everything or the other guy will beat you out. Be prepared. If your alma mater re offers career development, practice interview sessions, take 'em up on the offer. It will be time well spent when you're not made to look like a dufus..

Other than the obvious which is the right skills and experience to do a job you can't go wrong with: A good handshake, being polite and well kempt, not asking about money, turning up on time and preparing for the interview by at least checking out the website and knowing the industry that the company is in.

So, number 1 thing would be - Be Prepared!!!

being waiting to declare you don't be conscious of the respond is particularly very confusing for a lot of people in interviews - the the element that i'll push each and each man or woman I interview previous what they be conscious of to verify in the event that they're going to easily BS or be too flustered, or will only admit they don't be conscious of and take an informed wager or tell me how that they had flow approximately getting the information that they had could desire to respond to that question. The stick to up turn into completely high quality too - see you later as your stick to up did no longer come for the time of as sounding desperate. i've got had only one man or woman stick to up after an interview and it got here upon very desperate as he'd found out he'd given an exceedingly adverse answer (no longer a 'don't be conscious of respond to, yet one i could deliberate to be rather lame' - and he found out it too yet too overdue). stable success - seems such as you dealt with your self alright!

There is not just one thing. They look for a number of things, such as can you do the job, will you fit in, do you have potential to develop, etc.

Try not to steal the interviewer's pen.

That is a question that cannot be summed up with one specific attribute. I would say making a very good first impression is very important. That statement left out any detail regarding how you would go about accomplishing that.
