where do I start? Will I need a general massage qualification first? And how long will this take?

Check either the cosmetology licensing board or allied helath professions board. You have a niche area so there may not be a certification for that skill specifically. If you are wanting to train the trainer so to speal you will need a certification and so manu years experience in the field. I would start at the state licensing board for massage ( what ever the indusrty fall under) to obtain info on getting that license first, then I would check with local children's hosptitals to inqure as to whether or not they have these types of practioners on staff or out sourced and then go from there...do your reearch girl!

my sister has just set up her own business doing this sort of stuff. she did a general massage course then did loads of other units, aromatherapy, hopi ear candles and all that. she did loads of it as night school classes
i would start by looking for your nearest holistic therapy type place and take it from there.
