I know they deal with patients with serious injuries and stuff...it sounds a lot like ER docs. Are they the same thing? If not what kind of training do they do? I've never heard of a "trauma surgery" residency...

most of the jobs available where i live pay much too little to keep up with the cost of living. and many others below my experience or education level. But i want to work and need some money soon.
I am willing to work hard once my foot is in the door but i want to be able to live a decent standard of living. or maybe i should just start my own business.

Or do they have to allow you to work the 2 weeks?

I want to be courteous and give them notice, but I also dont want them to say in a couple of days "we found a replacement so we dont need you here anymore." Then ill be out of 2 weeks pay.

I had an interview that I felt went very well. A couple of days later they called and said that my application was submitted for a background check...then 2 days ago they called and said my check came back good, and that they were continuing the check. How long will it be before they call with a job offer if they do call?

I was getting paid at $12.00 per/hour. One day when I looked at my pay stub, and I saw that they garished .25 from my pay without notifying me first. My employer told me he spoke with the company, and it wasn't within the contract(I didn't sign a contract), which I knew nothing about. I was hired at that rate so can they do that, even without notifying me, and for any given reason?

Is it bad time management? Do people not have home toilets? Do they have phobias of pooping in private? Is "get paid to pop" the motivation?

I have never needed to do this. I can't understand why others do. Obnoxious answers accepted.

I work in a bowling alley day care. On saturdays, my boss bowls on a league. She has 4 kids. A 3 yr old devil child (boy), a 5 yr old girl that can be as sweet as an angel, a 8 yr old boy who I'd like to strangle sometimes, and an 11 yr old boy who does absolutely nothing. Ever.
This past saturday, she only had Seth (the 3 yr old) and Faith (the 5 yr old). Not only did she clock in when she was going to bowl, but she tried taking the big screen down to her lane so she could watch the football game. So it's just my sister and I with her 2 kids and about 5 others. The other 5 are doing just fine. Her (keep in mind, he hasn't even been 3 for a whole month yet) 3 yr old comes up to me and spits in my face. Then he decided he was going to bite me. Right on the crotch. So now I have a 50 cent piece size bruise on my crotch...and when I say crotch, he got my cl*t and everything. So I picked him up and put him up and put him in a high chair. He gets out somehow.

Does anyone work in sales/collections or any industry that has a daily quota or monthy? If so does your company have pep talks all day long to keep the motivation high... do they drive you crazy.. the yelling and hoopla when someone makes a sale etc.... all the pressure of the job and all the fake motivational stull sometimes just drives me crazy.....or maybe its just the fact that I have been doing this for 15 years.
