Too many people are shoved into ill fitting underpaying jobs here in Australia by eager job agencies wanting to make quota.
We are even encouraged to stretch the Truth, - lie - on application forms and in our resumes.
I think what you are doing by waiting out for the right job, will make you a lot happier in the long run.
If a person has passion about their job, then they do it very well. Good on you!

I have been looking for months now and all I get are minimum wage labour jobs - so I have started applying to my old field which actually pays more. The factory jobs here in canada were all 8 bucks an hour while being a security guard was 9 bucks an hour. You might want to get a job just for money in the time being like I have to before you wipe yourself out financially. The standard of living hike will come later - I too am highly skilled and educated. Now I am going back or beneath my education level but I have to keep the wolf away as now I am running out of money and the jobs in my area are nowhere to be found. I was called into one place to be an instructor but I had to have my drivers licence so no show there. Try some recruiters - they look at your education more and set you up with places more at your level. I just talked to one the other day and she said jobs through her agency paid from 9 bucks an hour to 110 000 dollars a year. I had an interview for a 50,000 dollar a year job but did not get it. Now I am running out of money so will have to raise some by working at a not so great job. I know I will get something better because I have done before. You are too picky but that is good for a while - you have pride - you are proud like me - but it wont pay the bills. Get money from what I call a basic job in the meantime like I have to. I had to do this before in my 20's

Maybe the type of work you want to do doesn't thrive in your area. You have 2 options:
1) Change careers with something that is high paying in your area or
2) Consider moving somewhere where you can earn more money.

Welcome to the real world... Just start at the bottom like the rest of us, and if you're up to snuff you'll get moved up quickly enough. Everyone has to start some where, and we all make sacrifices to get to where we want to go in life... Starting your own business is even worse, esp. if you have no experience at what you want to do. Most start-ups fail w/ in the first year due to financial mismanagement and inexperienced leadership.
