Put it this way: It's me a reserved individual vs All the others who can't stop talking. Wouldn't it be discrimination if they kicked me out just because of my personality? i havent had this, but i'm just thiking about it as today i applied for a job at a medical institution and everyone is talking all the time , joking around,e tc.

legally, of course they cannot. If they REALLY don't like you, they can always find an excuse to let you go. Most of the time, if you are productive, and don't cause problems, they'd just leave you alone even if they don't like you.

You can not be fired for your personality unless you are overbearing or threatening in some fashion. Perhaps breaking out of your shell would help you as it did me. Get involved with conversations and joking around. It certainly wouldn't hurt you and it's not a bad thing to be less reserved in an environment that's active.
Good luck on the new job prospect and have a great day!!!

Not really. Some states have "at will" employment, which means they can fire you at any time for any reason that isn't protected by federal law. And, unfortunately, reservedness isn't protected. However, the interview process is the time when you size up your potential new boss, and your potential new boss sizes you up. If you're reserved and quiet in your interview and they make you an offer anyway, then you can rest assured that it's not a problem for your boss. There's nothing wrong with reserved! Good luck!
