Okay, we've all seen them from time to time; those jobs that supposidly let you work from home answering surveys or things like that using your computer. My question is, does anyone here actually do this or work in this? If so, is it really what it states it does and the money it says?

I'm working as a substance abuse counselor and I'm going to do a project with my clients where I teach them some job skills and hopefully help them look for a job.

I was wondering what kind of jobs a felon can get, particularly if they have a DUI or drug posession charges(some may have 1 DUI or drug charge, others may have more, I'm not really sure). And also, is it even possible for them to get a job other then at McDonalds, etc? They're all drug addicts and many are on probabtion and recieve frequent drug tests that come up clean (if they don't come up clean they get kicked out of our program). We're in FL and my clients are teens to 50-somethings. Please be more specific then just "being honest" that's only step 1, I'm looking for actual job options here. Thanks.

I'm a nurse at a small nsg. home and work from 10 pm-6am. I work Sun, Mon, Tues and every other Wed. I worked last Wed. I got off work at 6am this morning and have been awake for 26 hrs now. The nurse that is waiting for her relief to show up called and said that I'm on the schedule to work tonight. I haven't looked at the schedule in 2 yrs because my days have never changed. I called the nurse that should be working and explained I worked last Wed. so he should work this Wed. Am I wrong or right? I know I'm wrong for not looking at the schedule but I never needed to. If someone was calling in I was usually asked if I could work. Also...I was going to ask the other nurse if he could work for me one day next week but there is noway I can do that now....they are all mad at me!!

Here's the situation... I got let go from 2 positions since I graduated college.. I was at both positions for only a couple of months (3 for one, 5 for the other), and I was let go for very questionable reasons (at least in my eyes). Both of these positions are within my field of work, so I find it very necessary to add these to my current resume. I definitely don't say that I got let go...I tell potential employers that they were temporary internships, and most of them seem to be buying it since they were only a couple of months long each. I have had a lot of interviews, but get rejected because most say I don't have enough experience.. Do you think it is a front because they found out that I was bending the truth? What can these past employers legally say about me? I didn't get let go because I did anything terrible, such as miss work. I think it because the relationships did not work out, and maybe productivity reasons. Even the employment office thinks I got the shaft.

I am an elderly employee for a national retail chain. My supervisor has recently threatened my job because I cannot keep up with the younger workers. As a cashier, I am required to scan a certain average amount of merchandise per minute. The younger people don't seem to have a problem but I'm not as fast as I used to be! Isn't this some sort of age discrimination?

I am looking for a job, just out of college with a BA. I have been horribly underpaid by my retail job as a supervisor. The job I applied for I am 100 percent qualified for, but I am afraid that my current low salary will make them second guess the quality of my work as I have been at my retail job a long time, while attending college. This job pays about 15,000 more than I make right now. Should I lie and make the gap 6-7,000?

I'm a 1st year graduate student in the business administration (MBA program) at Wayne State University in Michigan. I'm looking for a good, high quality internship (paid or unpaid, and in MI or outside of MI doesn't matter) in any of the following fields: accounting, human resources, or management. Specific company names would be helpful since there's a big career fair tomorrow. Thanks!

And I'm not talking about being a door greeter at Walmart. LOL. Or working for Walmart or in retail period. I have an Associates of Applied Science for Graphic Arts. I graduated *** Laude (with honors, not *** Alot). 3.6 GPA.

I already have a job currently. In graphics. But I'm not really happy with it.

I am intelligent, hard working and not to sound vain, but I am somewhat physically attractive as well. I am 27 years old, and for whatever reason, my life seems to be in absolute idle for the last 3 -4 years. I want to evolve in finances, I would like a family one day and I would like to find something that I would like to call a career, but I am not in that boat at all. Some people are in my same shoes, while others get their life together from the moment they leave the family nest. I have tons of potential, but I really never found solidity in anything. The years fly by the older I get, and the chances for personel success seems more slim each year. Can anyone give me any advice or encouragement. I really don't know what I should do.

I am having a really hard time getting a job. I have listed on my resume that I have been a self employed hairstylist for the past two years (that has been my previous career path). I wasnt actually self employed. I had a job that is not suitable to share on a resume. However I am not getting any responses with my current resume. Should I stick with the self employed bit or makeup a position to fill the past 2 yrs, or what? Any advice is really needed. I really need to get a job.
