Continue onwards to college. Many colleges have placement boards. Even if you just take one course at a time you will be more marketable and even if it takes you 20 years for a 4 year degree, you'll still be only 38 with another 30 years to use that degree. Don't put it off like I did and wish you would have.

as the two previous answerers said, try to go to a community college or trade school. An employer may give you credit and hire you at a trainee level if they can see that you are actively trying to increase your skill level. My daughters could not decide what they wanted to do - my oldest didn't know until she was going off to college -Busn IT - I'm so thanking God for that decision.

But one thing to know is there is no job beneath you. Some money that you worked for your own self has a high mental enriching advantage than just sitting waiting for the just the right one - work while you wait on the 'perfect' job.

Remember, life aint fair but it is oh so very, very real...

I would definitely continue on with your education. Unfortunately, building a work history is like building credit-sometimes it takes a while. You may try working (for a short time) at your local Wal-mart, Target, or K-mart just to get yourself employed. Next, Make sure your resumes are free of ANY grammatical or spelling errors. It may seem petty, but this reflects on your attention to detail, so have someone proof read them if you haven't already. When you go for interviews, avoid talking to potential employers like you would your friends. Use ("yes" instead of "yeah"). Lastly, when you go to apply for a job, be assertive, and friendly and walk like you have a purpose. Employers can tell alot about someone just by the way he walks in to apply for a job! I hope that all these are things you are already doing. Good Luck!

Dental offices will hire young ladies usually. Dental Labs will usually hire young folks to train for entry level. Male or female.
Beauty shops. (Young ladies again.) Flip burgers? Fold tacos?
Waiter or waitress? Bus boy or girl? Book shops? Movie theaters? Lawn services? Swimming pool services? Oil change shops?
