I just reported a discriminating charge against my employer due to race that is so obvious. What is the pro and cons of this? How will it affect them? me? what should I do in the meantime? Should I quit? or stay and see the rapture of them?

You didn't give enough information for me to assess the situation.

How big is the company? When you said employer do you mean the big cheese or your direct report? When you said "reported" who did you report to?

The most likely outcome is that they will try to make nice for a bit, then wait a few months, find some other reasons to let you go. The question of how long you have will depend on how high you escalated the issue.

I agree with the others. Be proactive and start looking for another job.

Best wishes.

It is easiest to simply leave.

For you to get money from your employer, you usually have to show damages, which means that you not only lost your job, but now can't find work, for a length of time, usually years.

And beware of "so obvious". I work in statistics with discrimination cases all the time. Different races have different rates of higher education, different qualifications. And someone promoting their cousin or brother's best friend is different than not hiring someone of color.

On the other hand, if you've got a e-mail from your supervisor that says that "we've got to get rid of all of his kind" or something like that, then, by all means, retain an attorney! That's what they are there for!

repercussions for reporting anything like this is illegal. If you can prove that your boss is punishing you in any way or you get fired over this, then you will have a reasonable lawsuit. But think about it, do you really want to sue someone just to get your job back???

I THINK IF YOU COULD NOT DO THIS IN THE BLIND YOUR A** IS GONNA PAY FOR IT. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD GIVE IT A LITTLE TIME BUT I WOULD BE PREPAIRED TO LEAVE ON A MOMENTS NOTICE. YOU EITHER GONNA GET FIRED OR HE WILL BE SO ROUGH ON YOU THAT YOU'LL HAVE TO LEAVE
