It seems like I can go to work everyday and do my work well, but after a while I am looking again for other work. I get bored with whatever it is I'm doing. I like the change.

It's been my experience that when employers know you are collecting unemployment they will offer less for a position. In Michigan we are required to accept an offer at 70% of what we formerly made -- even if you were underpaid to start with. What are the employee's rights?

After my employer found out that I had contacted the labor board about the length of time to put on my timecard when I was called in after hours, I got e-mails saying I was forceing them into doing something they did not want to do. (increase pay) and that I was being paid less for running an entire office alone, than someone that worked in their office, just because it was not as busy. I don't think that that should have that much of a bearing on the amount of pay. I had a big responsibility for them to open that office everyday and to be there everyday. I scheduled any doc/dent appts as late in the day as possibe in order to keep the office open. I have had to ask for every raise that I got and was not even told that benefits were offered until someone told me almost a year after I had started. I could go on but I don't want to babble more..
Tell me what you would do?
Need some advice..
think Unemployment would work?

We have a faucet, but the water is yellow, and I refuse to drink it. The company I work for refuses to pay for a company to bring in a water cooler for us to have drinking water. I work in Maine. Isn't there a law that requires them to do so? Do you know where I can find this information?

I get out of school at 4:00 p.m. and I have an interview at the same time at a fast food place. The place is just 5 minutes walking from my school, but I am still worried. What should I do? And if you have any tips on how I should dress, it would be appreciated.

My boss at work has taken to firing a plastic guns at me. I told him to stop it so he threw a ball at my head. Realising that this didn’t work, I told the director of the company that I find it hard to work with someone with violent tendencies. My boss then told me if I ever told on him again he would make my working life hell. What should I do?

In this day and age, where machines are used rather than people to screw tops on bottles etc, what sort of things do people doing factory work have to do? Is there still lots of repetitive manual labour involved or is that no longer the case?

I am interested in knowing how a massage therapist's salary working in a up-market spa (a day spa or hotel resort spa) is paid. I know that in the UK it is a combination of basic hourly pay, commision on sales and gratuity. I would like to know if it is the same in the USA. I am also aware that some employment in the USA is entirely commision based like a car dealership service advisor but in the UK this job is salary and commision. Thanx.
