I've heard of something where you send a dollar to six different people, and eventually you get more and more money...does anybody do that, or have you done that? Please let me know...and if you know of a good site to go to for that, tell me.

I pursued an advanced program during high school and graduated at sixteen (valedictorian). I'm currently seventeen and seeking a job. I will be attending university next year in California and need to start saving money for tuition. Optimally, I would like to earn $2000 a month. Since I’m a graduate and I’m seventeen; child labor laws do not apply to me. I'm willing to work up to 60 hours a week, as long as I can fulfill my goal. I am aware that employers have to provide pay and half once I surpass forty hours a week, so they maybe reluctant to hire me. However, if I do work sixty hours a week I could be paid $7.15 for the first forty hours and $10.73 for the subsequent twenty, which seems reasonable.
4 * (40X + 1.5(20X))=2000 70x=500 x=7.15 x=10.73
I don't know if I’m being foolishly optimistic because I’m not familiar with the American job market; I recently arrived from overseas. I live in eastern North Carolina and I was wondering if anyone could offer discerning advice.

I'm already working a lot and going to class all the time, and then when I'm not doing these things I'm trying to fit in friends and homework. Should I be a good samaritan and volunteer another hour or two of my time?

CHALLENGE QUESTIONS:

A friend of mind didn’t get the job of his dreams due to the answers to the following questions.
1) How are your computer skills?
2) How would you describe Exceptional Customer Service?
3) How would you describe team work?
4) How do you resolve conflict with a co-worker?
5) What do you want out of your next job, what are you looking for?

How would you answer these questions to land the job and stand out from the rest? Now be careful, if you say too much or too little you won’t get the job and if you say something that everyone else says, same thing, you won’t stand out or be remembered.

So put your thinking caps on, your at the interview, there are at least several people there interviewing you, what would you say and how would you handle yourself?

This is worth a lot of points, so go.

I have a question; would it be wise to indicate to the employer that they made a typo in their advertisment after applying or after I received the job offer?

I think it's kinda weird that I have to meticulously spell-check my resume while they misuse the apostrophe S. EX:

CASHIER'S WANTED or....

No expirience needed or...

Benefit's included

At work today, I saw (by accident) a new hire's salary level and the new guy is getting paid more than me!

While we have different backgrounds, we both have arguably the same related experience for the job! When you consider other experience, I trash this guy. In addition, he's 1 year out of college...I'm about 5 years out and am working on my MBA (he is not).

I was a part of the team that interviewed him and gave my ok to hire him. He is not a friend of anyone at the company. . so what gives with this situation?

I've only been on the job 2 months. So how and when do I bring up the subject to the boss?

Thanks.
