I have found jobs and gotten calls from there. The key is to make sure your resume stays current, your title is catchy and you keep updating it as your skills and experience progress. The problem with searching seems to be that there are a lot of headhunters out there for those hard to fill temp to hire positions which don't guarantee a lot of security...

Do you mean careerbuilder.com ? Thats a pretty good site - lets you upload your resume(s) and send to prospective employers and do extensive job searches. It's not my favorite site though. I've always had better luck with www.monster.com - gotten a few positions that way - even one who a few years ago moved me to a different state for a position.
