I was looking at a newspaper delivery ad in the paper and it said you are an "independent newspaper carrier" for this particular newspaper company. What does it mean when your considered an indpendent carrier, and is this a good part time job?

I have worked at this company for 8 months and have hated it the whole time. But respectfully so, I need to place my two weeks notice. How's this sound?

This letter is to inform you that as of today's date I am putting in my two weeks notice. I have taken a job that better suits my long term career goals and provides me with an exceptional hourly wage. I appreciate the oppurtunity you have granted me with this company. My last day will be Friday October, 6th. Thank you.

Sincerely,

I think it is important for me to be honest and tell them exactly why I am leaving but also keep it short and sweet. Alright, give me the constructive criticism =)

I'm known for having the answer when people are searching for the next step to solve a problem in their lives. Or, just to move on in a project or dream they have. People find me to be insightful and helpful and know I have their best interest in mind. How can I get paid to do that?

I recently accepted a job offer but I have changed my mind and am sticking with my current job. How should I inform the company that I don't want the position anymore. Should I call, write or e-mail. And what should I say? Any Suggestions?

My co-worker and I are male in our mid 20’s.

We work for a very small company, and we are the only employees.

Our boss requires us to carpool to other jobs together.

When my co-worker drives us he smokes pot while I am in the vehicle.

I never say anything because we are in HIS car.

My wife found out about this and said she was very disappointed in me because we don’t life that lifestyle.

In fact, I have never even smoked a cigarette.

She said she is mad because he is on company time smoking illegal drugs with ME in the car.

She is also angry because if we get pulled over I could be arrested along with co-worker.

She told me she wanted to call my boss, but didn't because its my responsibility to talk to him about it.

Driving in my car all the time is not possible, my boss requires us to drive in his car sometimes too since we don't have a company vehicle.

My boss likes to smoke pot on occasion too!

Is she right to be mad?

I'm really struggling a lot with a certain co-worker of mine. Every time I ask him to do something for me that is in his job duty, he bites my head off. In a work enviornment where we are suppose to work as a team, he is out for himself and wants to always pass the buck to everyone else when something goes wrong. Can someone give me some advice on how to rise above the situation? My boss really likes this guy, and I don't know what else I can do to resolve my situation with him. Today along angered me. He got really drunk last night, called in sick, knowing that his back up was already taking a vacation day. He bragged to other co workers that he was doing this! I don't want to quit my job, I love what I do, but something has to be done about him. Any feedback would be great.
