most raises in places where they have "cashiers" only go up by about 30 cents every 90 days or so... sounds to me like you dont have a very good chance of making this job a career, so if your young and dont pay all your own bills take what you can get...

or if you want to make better money find a better job, but leave on good terms for the reference

ohh and for the future its spelled "raise" and maybe you should work on your grammar and english

Here is what you should do, first learn to write better or use spell check.....seriously it will help you with getting better jobs.

Second talk to your boss and tell him how you feel that you think you are doing more work than what you are being paid for and ask what they can do. If all they will do it .30 cents an hour, take it it's better than nothing

Finally if you are satisfied, and you feel you are worth more, start looking elsewhere. You might find something better, or you might find it's a tough market out there for job changes. Either way you will know what you are worth if you look around.

That's a non-promotion. Keep working until you hit a round year mark, then go work for a competitor doing the same job. Since you already have experience at the higher level, the new employer will offer you a better salary than what you are getting right now.

You need to start sending out your resume. Make sure you put everything on it that you can do & have done. My husband is in the same boat you are. He was promoted to supervisor 9 months ago & talk about taking a lot of crap! He keeps asking when he's going to get a raise & his boss keeps telling him "soon". He's working on his resume & will start sending it out hopefully next week.

Don't you mean "raise" instead of rise? I f you think you can make more money elsewhere then it makes sense to do that but shouldn't you make sure you have another job before quitting the one you have?

I say stay put. If you get a job where you actually have to communicate with people, you will NEVER get a "raise".

Ask to go back to your old position. If they say no, quit.
