I recently accepted a job offer but I have changed my mind and am sticking with my current job. How should I inform the company that I don't want the position anymore. Should I call, write or e-mail. And what should I say? Any Suggestions?

A formal letter of declination should be the best avenue. Saying something to the effect of "thank you for your offer but at this time due to extenuating circumstances, I must decline the offer....etc"

I think that writing a letter is your best course of action. At least there's a written record stating that you've declined the job. As far as content, "Upon further consideration, I must regrettably decline the job you offered me on (date). Although the position is certainly attractive, I feel that my current employer has a greater need for my skills at this time. Again, thank you very much for offering me the position, and thank you for your time.

Yours truly,

I would both call and write, say that your current employer made a better offer you did not expect, therefore with all consideration toward the associated expenses, you feel you should remain with your present situation, although you liked the offer very much.
