I have just done my MSc in "Managing Information Technology" from one of the UK's universities. Can someone recommend me the kind of job I could go for (anywhere in the UK) and how can I get going.

Try putting your CV on a few of the employer head hunting sites,
eg: http://www.monster.co.uk and many others, Google is your friend :-)

The biggest problem you'll have is experience, if you don't have any real world experience in MIT you'll have trouble.

If you lack experience, set your sights lower to gain experience.

Doesn't your Alma Mater have a careers advisory service?
We do at the University I work for, as do all the others I know of.

WELL you could get going by leaving the u.k. and using your knowledge in some underdeveloped country, like Japan...if your good. if you are average go to Barnsley u.k. If you are good, you will get the job you need. If you are just average, you will be on the dole, and be clever enough to play the sysem, iether way, you have a head start with brains.

I am miffed by this question. What kind of advise do you give to a man who just finished a masters degree in MANAGEMENT and cannot manage his career????

Try the NHS or any other Goverment department.Offer to re-organise the IT division with the use of your wide experience.
Should be worth about £100K and you would have the advantage that you would be better than what they have now.

Once again, I find it incredible that someone has gone to the trouble of doing a degree course WITHOUT actually knowing what they are going to do with it!!!!!!!!!!1

Ask your tutors they have contacts in the industry and should help you locate companies, if that fails do a search on the internet.
