How can I justify getting a raise? I've heard from most of my co-workers that they were all told the company can't afford to give raises. Is there anything I could possibly do or say other than the obivious to get a raise? I've been here 3years and am underpaid for my experiance level to begin with.

I am classified at part-time, yet work over 40 hrs almost every week. I am continuously forced to work past my scheduled "off" time. example: I was to work 830am-5pm....yet I was working til after 8pm. I am told If I leave early, and with out a manager approval, I am subject to a write-up. It is the closing manager that will not let me leave. What exactly are my rights?
