Well, when I was 14 I did several things to produce income. Of course the traditional babysitting thing, having a bake sale with rice crispy treats, cupcakes and selling candy to the kids in your neighborhood such as blow pops, gum etc. Another good thing to try would be posting fliers to do shopping for people, like the elderly, the sick, and mothers that are too busy. You could even buy one of those kits from the store and make custom friendship bracelets, beaded necklaces, etc. Whatever it is you decide to do, have fun and enjoy doing it!! Good luck and God Bless!!

It's difficult in Florida for young workers. My son went through this. All we found out is there are a FEW grocers who will allow you to bag groceries at 14 -- BUT not all. Unfortunately, you can't even work at Subway until you're 18 years old. It's sad. I worked at the YMCA when I was your age but I can imagine that won't be the case these days. Maybe check with them?

This same type of question has been asked in here over 700 times!!! I don't care where you live, it's going to be very difficult for a 14 year old to find a job (child labor laws!) unless it's cutting lawns (now people hire lawn services), paper route, babysitting, odd jobs (you'll have to ask around), washing cars......... you're just going to have to get creative and put some footwork into it. People will not come looking for you. You're going to have to go door-to-door and offer a service that you think they might need/want.
You should be proud of yourself for not wanting to sponge off your parents! Good luck!!!

Construction site, ice cream shop, mom and pop store. Find a place that will pay you in cash. Usually seasonal businesses or one where a lot of illegal immigrants work at like picking farm fields.
