Always answer with "Yes, Sir" or "Yes, Ma'am". It reminds them they're in charge (it also helps to remind you that you are not).

Show up early (if you're early you're on time, if you're on time you're late) no matter what anyone else says.

Listen, don't speak

Treat others with respect, even if they don't deserve it (this goes for bosses as well).

Smile, and be polite ALL THE TIME! (even if they don't deserve it)

Use words like "It's my pleasure" "Right away" or "Absolutely".

Ask if they need anything before you leave the office (or wherever, you may end up being late but it all goes back to respect).

Don't walk around like you're entitled to something, you have to EARN EVERYTHING (and have fun with earning it, that's real self-gratification)

Do a good job the first time.

Be A.D.E.P.T

Accountable
Dependable
Ethical
Passionate
Trustworthy

Treat others the way you want to be treated (you're going to be sick of me saying this but EVEN IF THEY DON'T DESERVE IT)

never suck up, always be polite, do your job correctly and treat people the way you want to be treated, and if you need to tell your boss something that isn't favorable start off with a compliment before you get to the problem, this will ease his discomfort and help you to get out the truth.

If you do these things, you will think you are sucking up but you are just being a good employee. And that is what your boss wants. Boss's don't like suck ups, They just want there employees to do the right things all the time to the best of their abilities.
