Soon to be re-locating to the Joplin, Missouri area. Any ideas what a guy with my background in music, television, and Emmy award winning audio production may do? Not expecting anything like what I make here in LA, I know, but,... any ideas? Even completely unrelated to my career, just looking for a change! Check me out at www.myspace.com/mygypsyspirit for more info... Thanks!

My husband just became a RE agent and works for a company as an independent contractor. He will have to claim the income as if self employed. Should he set himself up in a sole propriership or an LLC to protect his assets?

I'm a business graduate from McMaster University (with honours), and I spent 2 years in sales with Xerox, and another 2 as a logistics manager and front line supervisor with The Beer Store.

Any now i'm looking for a new challenge, and i'm using EVERY MEANS POSSIBLE to look for one.

So.... have a dad, a mom, a friend, and enemy, or anyone else looking to hire? Send me a message or post here and let me know about the position.

Thanks!

Ok so i'm 16 and i have a job at a grocery store. today was my first day and i hated it. I always had a long line in my checkout line and i kept getting confused with the cash register. Plus there are hardly any kids working there and you hardly have any time to talk to people. Does anyone know of any easier jobs that i could get?

I work for the government and have just been promoted to a new position within my agency. I now have entirely new duties that I will have to be trained for, a new boss, and most of my coworkers work in a different building, however for the time being I am staying where I am. My old building was super casual. I wear jeans and polo shirts 5 days a week. The people who work across the street at my new job wear button up shirts, polo shirts and the women wear pants suits and dresses. A couple of guys (including the boss) had on ties. I of course am going to lose the jeans and my new boss said what I had on was otherwise fine and I shouldn't have to change to months. I am thinking of wearing a button up shirt and a tie a few days a week though. I feel more professional doing that, but I'm afraid if I do it right at the start it will be viewed as brown nosing. Also anytime I have worn a tie in my old building I felt horribly out of place, due to everyone else being so casual.

I have a successful small business. 15 employees. When I hire an employee I tell them felonious pasts have no bearing on hiring. They know in advance that somebody they work with might be a felon and they agree to that stipulation. One employee of mine is a felon – he downloaded child pornography about 8 years ago and served two years in prison. He did the crime and served his time – end of the felony story. He has been working for me for about 5 years. He is a college graduate and a PHENOMENAL employee. He brings in new clients all the time and is paid very well ($150,000 a year). A lady that has been working with me for about 1 year found out about his pay and was upset because she only gets $50,000 a year. She then found out about his past and confronted me hoping that I would fire him. I told her I knew about his past and was not going to fire him. She spread his past around the office and to the community causing me to lose 3 clients (1 major client). continued.......

I know there is no real way to escape a criminal record, but is there anyway to downplay it? My husband is looking for a job in computers. Unfortunately he has a felony on his record from when he was 17! That was a long time ago but it is still on his record. He has been turned down by three places on account of his record. Is there anything that can be done or is one stupid drunken mistake five years ago something that will doom him to total sh!t jobs for the rest of his life?

Personally, I think its degrading! Women fought for so long just to be able to vote, and they go and bare all for a couple bucks! Thats why men have wives, its gross! If my daughter ever, ever came home thinking about something like that, I have a heart attack! Seriously, get a real job!!
