I was recently at an interview where the HR director was making comments like "She knows she is hiring illegals, but there is nothing she can do." and "The African Americans only last a day, but the illegal Mexicans will last as long as I will give them a job."

As a caucasian, none of them were directed at me, but as a human I found it extremely innappropriate and made me extremely uncomfortable. I was then interviewed by the Sales Manager. Subsiquently I did not get the job.

My question being, since I was not discriminated against, should I say something to someone? And follow up question. . is it common practice for HR to conduct interviews like that to see your response? I would think not, but I never delt with a professional HR department.

I am a graphic designer and I can work at home. Can you suggest any great resource for graphic design? where i can promote my profolio, and accept the new projects. I know there is bid program online, but it seems wasting time to get one. All i want is >> promote my stuff, get as many projects as i can, then work on the projects. I do set up a home page 2 yrs ago but not success.
May be i need some plug-in or software to promote it, please comment. there should be many graphic design jobs request daily,
but i do not know how to contact it.

Thanks for all your help!!

I already went to college and graduated with a BA. Not sure how many people at VP or CEO level had to go to business school vs. having just learned experience on the job. Do I need to go to business school to get the best experience to help me be able to run a small company? If not, what are the best options to gain insight and experience?

My kids get sick and it seams like for a 1/2 day to a day I'm off of work because I either have no sitter or kids are sick - hey **** happens right. When I offer to come in on the weekend to make up lost time - boss says "No". But I end up getting written up for that. It isnt my fault these things happen, and hey family comes first. My question is: Is this something I can bring to the labor board?

I work full time in a retail store, and my hours vary day to day, with some days working the opening shift, other days closing. Paying back student loans and whatnot has pretty much left me broke. Does anyone have any suggestions for part time or side jobs I could do, preferably not internet related, that won't interfere with my full time job? For example, something like paper courier, but not necessarily 7 days a week.

I took Information Technology (IT) course in university for 5 years and now I am graduated six months ago. But I don't want to work in IT field as I don't really have interested in it. I am currently working as a network support (every day just pick up call and ask "How may I help you?"), which I don't really love doing it, every morning wake up just hope that I don't need to go to work. I can quit this job anytime, but I have no where to go. To look for a job in IT field is totally out of the list, i'm trying to look for a job in other field, but what job? What should i do? I'M LOST
