Second... if you are not called right away... take a trip to Houston on one of their "Open House" days. Make sure all of your ducks are in a row. I came from Chicagoland and when they were done with the presentation, they asked who came from over 200 miles. Those of us that came from over 200 miles were given interviews. This was well over a year ago and some things have changed, but showing your motivation for the job can't hurt. Grabbing a pair and heading to Houston from Chicagoland was the smartest thing I've done in a few years. I got the job and since have received a promotion.
