A TON of stay at home moms/wives either do house chores as jobs... or they tinker around with ebay. Many also become medical transcriptionists... people who spend a few hours per day typing a lot of stuff... medical-related. It pays kinda ok. :-)

That entirely depends on your skills and interests. What do you have experience in? What do you love to do? Are you really looking for a stay at home job or would a home business be more of interest?
You can find a list of work at home jobs at http://www.homewiththekids.com/work-at-home/ if that's your preference. There are business tips on the same site, so you can get some ideas for how to get started if you choose a business.
If you go for a home business, don't rush in. Think about what you want to do, not just what the first person tells you is a great business. If you don't love it you probably won't do as well as you might otherwise.
