I already went to college and graduated with a BA. Not sure how many people at VP or CEO level had to go to business school vs. having just learned experience on the job. Do I need to go to business school to get the best experience to help me be able to run a small company? If not, what are the best options to gain insight and experience?

Good goals, great ideas. Sometimes things don't work out that way. For insurance, why don' t you hedge your bets. I started with xango, and it has both tax advantages because I have as many expenses as I can claim, but also has huge potential to grow. I started off pretty slow, but last week and already this week things are gearing up. It is a great product, and I used it for several weeks before I started marketing it.

Creating a company and taking the title of CEO is easy. I've done it twice. Making the money is hard.

most likely no. you arent looking for credentials, you are looking for experience. there are many small business workshops (community colleges offer them) meet new people in executive positions, use your common sense. then hire the people who went to business school to work for you... running your own business is easy. making mega bucks with it is what takes dedication. the more you put into it, the more you get out of it.
