Not all painter wear white.
U watch too many movies. Most of the time they just wear old clothes
If they do wear white its probably just overalls, which they either bought themselves or means that they r contracted by a company. Aslo mostly the paint they use is white and doesnt shoe the easy.
U get blue ones to.
But mechanics usually wear them becoz the grease dont show that easy.

Because white is the only color you can bleach, after you are covered with 10 or 12 different color paints.

I think it's to see if they have any dirt on them, they don't want dirt to blow on their paint.
