im an effective, entrepreneurially-minded investigative research analyst with broad experience and knowledge in many areas including international shipping and relations, energy (oil, gas and electricity), and now life insurance ( i now work for one of the world's largest insurers). I'm an excellent writer, able to distill ideas into cogent business narrative for any audience. I'm looking to expand my abilities, horizons, opportunities and earning potential. I'm also 41.

Most people don't need CFA, but if you want to take your career further in Finance, you should consider it. If you are not planning on becoming an investment broker or a Wall Street big-shot, I would think twice about making this commitment.

If you have the desire, then a CFA is worthwhile. I would not go simply for the credentials, but if you have the desire to learn the material, it is interesting and beneficial.

Go for it... If you can pass the CFA exams. Most people do not.
