Absolutely, that was my original major before I changed to Radiology. Pharmacy is an excellent field to go into, and you're guaranteed to get a job when you graduate. Just be sure you're ready to devote 6-8 yrs to school, study rigorously, and you need to be good in Chemistry. I promise you, if you're want to go into the medical field that's an excellent area...best of luck to you!

Pharmacy is a great career choice. You're looking at 6-7 years of school to get your Pharm D. It's all science and math.

Yeah, from what I understand from some news shows, pharmacists are in such demand that kids just out of school can pull in over a hundred thousand! I wished that I had done that.

it can get boring after a while especially in the mail order side where there is no customer interaction. you can also get robbed of drugs at gun point (true story) or find that you don't like being on your feet all day. other than that it can be a good choice...

well, my niece just graduated last may in pharmacology. i can tell you it's hard, you will work your but off in school, but she loves it. i know the schools up here require 6 years of schooling, but you come out with your doctrine. her boyfriend is in the same field, and they love their jobs. they both were working before graduation, and they had many offers from different companies. they also make great money. it's one of the better paying jobs, and it is in high demand right now. good luck. they both went and graduated from USP (university of science in philadelphia)
