I am currently leaving my job and my work said that If I didn't sta ythey would give me a bad reference and I also asked for a copy of my preformance review and they said no. What can I do?

I have a degree in Latin but it's not getting me anywhere. (imagine that.) Would it be better to take two years and get my CPA license or take 4 years to get my law license?

I love numbers and I love finding loop holes. Tax laws have so many loop holes. It's amazing how you can do the same return 50 different ways and still stay within the perimeters of the law.

Law in general interests me in the same way. So many ways to get the same thing done.

One clocks in 5 minutes early one day and the time is rounded to the next hour, then 5 minutes late the next day but loses the time. Definitely not fair for the employee but is it legal to do this?

I've been college for 4 years since 16 havent left education since ive left high school done some work part of course serached around for alot of jobs cant get anything now im sick and tied of looking for work i did do a job but boy that was tiring i just want to stay home but i get bored at home but i really dont want to go back to college again after i just think ive left it what should i do please help plus the job centre say oh have you found a job yet any answer please help i cant go on like this like i said before i really want to stay at home now after doing all this hard work and still got nothing out of it i feel pointless

Im currently 14yrs old working at a local computer store, My boss hasn’t paid me in around 23 days while I am supposed to be getting checks every 2 weeks (14 days). The place where I work is being transferred to a new owner in less then a week. Im wondering what I should to so I can secure my paycheck, but now since I refused to come to work for 3 days, and when I went back Monday (June 25th) to see if my check was ready, I was apparently not employed there anymore, and when I tried to contact my boss by calling her she would not answer the phone,I know she was availble when someone else tried calling her and she answered.

Right now, I am looking for any information I can have to guarantee my paycheck, but I was wondering if there was anyway I could report her as well, as she is here on a expired Visa and recently (December) got married in order to stay in the country.

The company is fairly large and the jobs are similar (all marketing) and all seem to match my background. All the resumes are sent to the same place through the company website. Will it hurt me or help me to send in my resume for all of the positions?

I Live in Pennsylvania and we are incurring major flooding... If the town your Job is in has evacuated and you are forced to take days off work does your boss have to pay you for them or are Employers not responsible in a case of natural disaster?

i work in a hospital fixing computers, i have a excellent opporutnity for a promotion, well, actually, they want to give it to me...and this can make me move up in the IT field, just that, im kind of sick of computers.... i kinda want to goto school for something else, and the program is only for daytime, and this promotion is for days .......so if i take this job i wont be able goto school.....its hit or miss.......( i currently work 2nd shift) .......either i take this 1st shift job promotion very beneifical to my career, or do i stay where i am and "try" to get accpeted into this program at school thats only for daytime .......i think my boss will want to know my answer today :( , what do i do ? ..i like comptuers but im kind of sick of it..and i invested all this schooling for it also :(.......i want to goto school for the health field......i love reading about health online, and when it comes to reading about computers, i get turned off ......what do i do? 1 or the other, not both

I was paid double time rather than regular time on my pay checks. Essentially I was paid double. I intended to report the error however the company noticed it before I reported it. So I was supended from work about two days. I believe this is illegal because in their employee handbook nor in any other document says anything about this. There is no reference to "discrepancies in pay" being illegal, there is no reference to a time line of reporting and there is no reference as to what disciplinary action should be taken if it occurs.

Was their action illegal, what should I do now? Should I get a lawyer involved?
