Well I would take the job...who couldn't use a promotion? And it will look better on your resume for future even if you go a different direction with your career.
Then I would look into evening programs at colleges or even on line courses and then go from there.
A lot of people work first shift and still go to college it is totally possible!
Good luck!

Hi. Stay where you are and enter the program. I am a 45 yr old mom who is just getting back into the workforce. I was in Accts Receivable/credit for a long time because I was good at it. I always hated it, but I never tried to do anything I liked. Now my kids are raised and I don't have very many choices other than starting at the bottom somewhere. If you're just starting out, be happy now. Don't wait for it because of the money or because it's easier. If you aren't just starting out, do you really want this life? It's never too late to change. Hope it helps. Good luck.

As a fellow computer person, I say take it. If you can't find education at night, then i'm not sure where you are. Most major Universities have their graduate classes at night. If not, i'm sure you can find one.
But if you have the passion and the funds, then i would say go for what you want to do. But be aware of this, make sure you know what you are going in to. The last thing you want is to go into something you think is good but it's not when you get there.

I'm going into the networking field, and reading about computers turns me off most of the time also, but that's just b/c they don't know how to write it to be interesting. If you hate your job, then keep it and go to school and then get a health one. But be sure you really like heath and not just reading about it.

If your kind of sick of computers now imagine how much worse this feeling will get if you stick with it for a couple of more years....sounds like you have a really good job as it is.....I would say to stay where you are in your career and try to get in that program....you will be so much happier doing something you love instead of something you "like".....good luck to you :o)

No matter what title you have, or how much money you make....if you hate getting out of bed in the morning to go to work it isn't worth it. It sounds to me that you've made your mind up on what you WANT to do....so follow it. Don't worry about what others will think, do what is right for YOU!

Is there a way you can take your courses online, so whatever your shift, you can still go through the schooling?
