I'm so confused. I have a BA. I've had some administrative positions. I don't know what field to go into. I've taken career tests. I don't know what I should do for a living. I would like to go back to school and pursue higher education - but I just can't figure out in what.

How do you know what is the right job for you? What helps you decide? What is a good career test? What is a good career book?

A friend of mine recently tried to begina career at chik-fil-a and whilst having a well-groomed beard, he was told it would need to be shaved in order for him to work there. I dont really know which side of the issue I stand on, but frankly he feels very strongly that shaving his beard is similar to age and sex descrimination.
Please tell me how you feel on either side of this issue...

I'm a 15 yr. old boy who lives in Cleveland, Ohio. Now the first thing, I know you get thousands of fan mail asking for different things. But, I especially want you to consider reading and replying to this one. The reason I ask you because my dream when I grow up is to become a big-time actor, specifically a comedian. Now I know I can become an actor, because if your good enough I know anything could happen. I'm at the age where my whole family asks “what are you going to be when you grow up”, and I reply with, being an actor, and they just chuckle because they know as well as I do to, that there is a very little chance of a person becoming a movie star and especially someone that they know. Even myself sometimes feel unconfident about that. So now, the thing I was writing to you about was, If you could give me some pointers, some confidence, hey, maybe you can even tell me a specific guy to meet up with that could give me the lead part in the next upcoming movie!!! But, if you can, out of the little time of the day you have, just tell me what to do because I'm lost. I mean what should I do, just go in a play hope for someone to see me, and then go to another, and another, and hope for a bigger person to see me to be in a movie? I really don't know. Or is it just being at the right place at the right time. I know I have not done anything for you I know that you don't even know me, and maybe you think that I'm just another one of those kids, just wanting things from you. But out of the goodness of you heart, please tell me how to get to the top, or at least have a good start off point. I mean if I get there, I'll win a Grammy Award and thank-you from up there, so thanks again, please reply.

sometimes I feel like men just brush me off because i'm a young woman. I'm interested in hearing from other females and how they make it in a man's business world.

between teaching, psychology and/or art (like interior designing or something of that sort.) I love to help people, I love kids, and I love art. I was also thinking along the lines of sociology - another way of helping people/learning about new cultures, etc. Does anyone have any professional experience with any of the above? I need advice so I can figure out where and how to continue my edcuation. Thanks! :)

I'm trying to find a little job until I can go back to school (for those who haven't read my other question, I can't go back to school until I pay them off), and I've applied to some of everywhere (WalMart, BiLo, the local pharmacy), and can't find anything! Everyone says WalMart is always hiring, but I applied 3 wks ago, and they havent called me yet! And I have good experience! What should I do? I'm getting really depressed sitting at home. :(

I was recently offered a job as a sales rep. for an L.A. ad agency. After reviewing their website, I'm not sure what to think about them. I'd appreciate somebody else's opinion. You can check out their site at www.tagcal.com....Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
