It's called burning your bridges behind you. You made your decision and now you need to stick with it. Even if you were accepted back you would never be treated the same again as they know that they can no longer rely on you. Just move on and you will find something better.

you have nothing to be afraid of.. call your boss and explain to him that you think you made a mistake and tell him WHY you still want to work for the company. even if he does say no and won't let you work.. you don't have to see him ever again.. but you have to ask.. otherwise you will for sure be out of a job..

Explain your position to your boss. If you are a good dependable worker, he may keep you. The sooner the better. Besides, this will keep him from having to search for someone, do the interview process, paperwork, etc....
Just tell him you've had second thoughts. Time is of the essence.

I don't believe you're sunk! Just let your boss know that you reconsidered and want to stay. If you've been there a while and know your job and do it satisfactorily, it is easier for your boss to keep you around than train a new employee.

One time I put my two weeks notice in for a job and then cancelled it. But, then a few months later I put my notice in again because the same problems started back again.
You put your notice in for a reason. If you take it back, you may find yourself unhappy again in a few months. Stand by your decision and find something better.

Hey, the 2 week notice is for them to find a replacement for you, you gave them that courtesy so if they haven't found someone, ask to stay, what would you lose by asking? All they can say is no......but they may say YAY! Thank God you're not leaving....ya know?

I think you are sunk...move forward.
My last job I just went in and said I had an offer, they then said they wanted to counter but they felt I would just leave in a yeart anyway...I hadn't even given notice.
You, in their minds, are out the door. Move on.

Yes, I did this just a few weeks ago. I unresigned and they "unaccepted my resignation". We had a long talk and got things straightened out. Now it is better than ever before.

i haven't, but i have seen it happen. although, when others did this they ended up quiting shortly after. so it was no point for them to stay. there was a reason for them to leave, and there is for you so why stay if you are ready to move on?

NO ! ! Unless you have already burned that " bridge" it might not be to late. If you are a valued team player they might just allow you to stay.
