sometimes I feel like men just brush me off because i'm a young woman. I'm interested in hearing from other females and how they make it in a man's business world.

First, stop thinking of yourself as a young woman in a man's world. Think of yourself as person who has information that others are interested in learning. You're leading these meetings for a reason -- what is it? Who put you in charge? Why? Play to your strengths and ignore the "us" vs "them" mentality. Be the most articulate and knowledgeable person in the room and they won't be able to afford to brush you off. They'll realize you have information and skills they need.

Try writing out an agenda for every meeting. Hand a copy to everyone before the meeting starts. Then refer to it from the beginning. This will let everyone know that they are going to follow the agenda you set -- as it is your meeting. If they stray off topic, bring them back by saying "OK, we're at number 4 now, so who knows blah blah blah." Try it.

alot is using varing tones with alot of enthusiasim and eye contact make sure you you get contact from all around the room if you see a disinterested area ask them a question keep it interactive
