What the difference is between an E.M.T. and a Paramedic???

For some reason I was not able to log on to Allexperts to get back with you about your question.
First off, as for the difference between an EMT and a Paramedic really depends on what state you live in. Here in Indiana, a Paramedic is able to give more medications, interpret EKG's, and some advanced airway stuff that EMT's can't do.
Job requirements vary by state also, but it all boils down to patient care, and being able to correctly identify and treat any medical problems.
As far as a college, that also depends on what state your in.
My major was Medical Assisting/ Emergency Medicine. I'm not sure if they offer this in other states.
