Need Job??

Question

I'm trying to find a little job until I can go back to school (for those who haven't read my other question, I can't go back to school until I pay them off), and I've applied to some of everywhere (WalMart, BiLo, the local pharmacy), and can't find anything! Everyone says WalMart is always hiring, but I applied 3 wks ago, and they havent called me yet! And I have good experience! What should I do? I'm getting really depressed sitting at home. :(

Finding a job is not as easy as it sounds. No. 1. Look at yourself. How did you dress to go in and ask about hiring? Professionally?
How did you act? Confident?
Look at you,,,then get out and look for jobs. Look at the paper to see who is hiring. Make your selection of the ones you are interested and visit them. Take a resume and leave it with them. And call back,,,,,show interest in them!
On their applications be specific,,,,,what area would you like to work in? dont say anywhere.
Wal-mart uses a kiosk system where you apply for a job in it. Even with wal-mart you should call to let them know you are interested in them. With wal-mart be really specific about an area you would like. Areas like the Connection Center ( cell phone contracts) or the Photocenter might be hiring over just the store for cashiers!

People hire someone to solve a problem. Walmart hires people to run cash registers, and stock inventory etc.

Think about what you are telling the person who will hire you. Think about what you do well so that he/she will think you are the one the company needs.

Sometime you have the me to force which is pushing yourself and not to wait on others to return your call. Call Walmart you do the follow up, if you really want to work for them be persistence.

keep looking. Try the mall, or theatres, Target, Sonic.. if they havent called in 3 weeks, they probably wont, so have backup.. Good Luck
