Geez you people never paid attention in history class, did you?
100 years ago = 1906.
The Wright brothers have been flying airplanes for 3 years. Automobiles are not widespread, but they're not rare either. Ford Motor Company has been in business 3 years.
The Old West is long gone. All the indians are on reservations. Slavery was ended in 1863... over 40 years before.
Fax machines, dishwashers, traffic lights, sound recordings, lightbulbs, radio, etc have all been invented.
Me, I'd head to the oil fields of Texas.

Become a Sheriff. Or. Become an outlaw. I know so many modern day tactics and attacks. I could do very good at either one. I could train my men in Spec. Ops. tatics. I also could create the sub machine gun, ACP, fun explosives, poisen, and other modern day fun toys.
I would look up where old timers found there gold and go and mine before they did. Thereby financing my business. I could also become a mercenary, known in that time as a gunslinger.

Well, if I knew then what I presently know, I'd be inventing a ton of stuff. Who knows, maybe I'd stumble upon some thing new, even by today's standards........ But if you mean just a trip back in time with no prior knowledge carried along, I'd be an architect.

If I had the foresight, I'd live on the outskirts of San Francisco and have a disaster relief business. I'd be a price gouging pioneer, selling lumber, fire hoses, shovels, bull dozers, and whatever else I can get my hands on.
