Depending on the position applied for a credit score can affect your chances.

However,if your just out of college...young...and have not yet built a credit score it won't affect you as much as someone older...if that makes sense at all

Your credit score can affect whether or not a company will hire you. Alot of employers view a good credit score as a sign of responsibility and maturity.

it can. now days many companies will look at peoples credit score/financial back round to determine if the person is responsible. also company's want to know if they will have to go through the trouble of having to pay out garnishments. more paperwork for the finance dept.

I think it depend upon the type of position you are applying for ie. if you are going into the finacial industry than i think it may affect your odds. I was told that they look at this as one of the ways to see how responsible people are. Good Luck!
