Is this Receiver/Dispatcher job legit? I contacted this person through craigslist and he emailed me with more info about the position. Basically, he sends me packages through the mail and when I receive it, I print out a shipping label and ship it out myself. He also states that I will be provided with prepaid shipping labels so I'm not spending my own $. This is what I have to do after I receive the packages:
1:CONFIRM THE RECEIPTS OF PACKAGE DELIVERED
2:I WILL MAKE ADEQUATE SHIPPING LABELS AND REGARDS WEIGHTS PROVIDED
AND HAVE THE LABELS SENT TO YOU VIA EMAIL(THE LABELS REPRESENT PAYMENT
FOR SHIPPING THE ITEMS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS)

3:YOU PRINT OUT THE LABEL AND TAKE THE LABELS AND ITEMS TO THE NEAREST
POST OFFICE,DHL OR FEDEX STATION,THE COURIER WOULD HAVE THE SHIPPING
SORTED OUT.

Oh and he wants a copy of my drivers license (send to him email or fax) for record purposes. Is this a scam???

I was engaged and he cheated on me. Now I need some advice. I bought a house last August. The house and all bills are in my name only. His (ex-fi's) dad did give us money to help with a downpayment, (about 6k) but he signed one of those gift forms, saying that it was a gift to me (FI never mentioned)., and that it was a gift with no strings attached and that it is not expected that I pay him back. We had to submit this form to the mortgage broker. The monthly payment is taken out of a joint account. (I think I am going to change this and have it taken out of a account that only I have). Does fi have any right to the house, because everything is only in my name? I am 100% sure that his name is not on anything. He has very bad credit. He thinks he has rights, I of course say no because his name is not on anything. I am not sure if anyone was ever in a situatioon like this. We are NOT married, and each of us made deposits into this joint account to pay all HH bills, as well as any bills FI had (his carpayment, student loans) Whle I kept a different account to pay my bills (CC, cell phone ect).

I dont think that the property is considered marital property, because we are not married, and in my state there is no common law marriage. I view what he has paid toward the bills, as his rent and living expenses (his rent was more then what is had paid toward the mortgage). Additioanlly, he has some anger issues and have done some damage to the house- drywall holes and dents, also he has broken a door frame, while busting it open becuase I liked myself in the bedroom to get away from him. I would guess the dame he did will cost at least 4k to fix (have to repaint walls, and get a new door frame).

If he would have rights, does that mean that he has to still pay all bills? My though proscess is that because my name is on everything he has the right to pick up and leave at anytime, and I would have no right to go after him for utilities or "rent". Give your honest opinions, I live in Pa, if that helps.

I am new to this market. Never bought a house before. How much one should put down for a 250K house? I heard if you pay 20% then u dont have to take two loans and evade the high interest for second loan. But that means 50,000. Is putting putting down $50,000 a good thing?

I just got hired at AMC and the brochure says this about my Pay Periods.
The pay period for hourly associates begins on a Friday and ends the following Thursday. Hourly associates are paid every other week on Thursdays, one week after the end of the pay period. (Note: there is a 7-day delay between the last day of the pay period and payday).

This might sound stupid, but doesn't tha mean that.. let's say i work friday, saturday, and sunday right? and the pay period ends on the thursday after that, it's saying i'll get paid a week after that thursday, right? Well, wouldn't I have to go through another weekend of work DURING the pay process? So would I get paid only ONE week every other week, even if I worked two weeks? Sorry if it's confusing, but I'm very curious.

I used to work for a multi million dollar security firm, usually provides security for military bases and federal facilities. It seems for the past 6 years the project managers who come and go are all real head hunters. It seems they fire anyone , or it seems, anyone who slips up once and adds more infractions , or just nit pick to no end in order to fire employees. One notorious security firm that is very well known for this is AKAL. All the project managers that have taken that oath of position have fired those for infractions that go as ridiculous as suggesting a certain idea to improve work conditions , or not doing a bidding that would go against a code of ethics , to parking in the wrong designated parking spot. It seems a trend. Is it the power trip? Or does the corporation puppet these types of managers as tools to fire their employees? And why? I know as a position of project manager or the sort there is that tendency to become power hungry , basically turning into an anus.

OK. Here 's my story. My income last year was 106,500. The year bore that was 85,000 and before that, 58,000. I never went to college, so I have no student loans. I have 3 credit cards with 400.00 limits, (taken out before my current income) My total credit card debt is 1,000. My fiance' and I own a home with a mortgage payment of 1,800 a month. She makes 42,000 a year. I applied for a credit card the other day, and was only given a 300.00 limit. She applied for a credit card around the same time, and got a limit of 10,000. And has 2 other cards with 10K and 15K balances. My credit score is 655, her is 745. I know her score is better, but she also has 25K worth of debt. I had some late payments about 5 years ago (60 days) but thats it. No other debt. How could she get such better rates and limits on credit cards? Does your credit score count THAT much?
